The Society was established in 1991 by the amalgamation of Melton Mowbray Society of Anglers (founded 1927) and Asfordby Society of Anglers (founded 1963). Currently based at Lakeview Fishery near Holwell Village, the club cates for Match and Pleasure anglers in a tranquil setting.
